Yes. You would require have a referral letter and Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP to claim a rebate for psychology sessions for mental health treatment. To access this, please book an extended appointment with your GP to discuss your eligibility. If approved, you’ll receive a referral that allows you to claim a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session. There is a gap fee.

Alternatively, if you have lived with chronic pain for at least six months you may be eligible for a rebate through Medicare for allied health services to help manage your condition (Chronic Disease Management Plan). There is gap fee. Please discuss this with your GP for more information.

Yes, I accept plan-managed and self-managed NDIS referrals for participants with psychology in their plan.

Yes. You will need to pay upfront and claim your rebate through your insurer. Coverage varies, so check with your provider for details. Please note you cannot use Medicare and private health together to claim for the same session.

I am not currently registered with ReturnToWork SA.

Therapeutic assessment is a collaborative and person-centred approach designed to provide insight and clarity, rather than just a diagnosis (but that may still be part of it). There is a focus on ‘what next’ and making a plan. It’s an interactive process where clients (and sometimes their important people) actively participate, helping to shape their understanding and future support needs.

The right therapist-client fit is really important. I work to create a warm, safe, and respectful space, but therapy is highly personal. If we’re not the right match, I’ll do my best to guide you toward someone better suited to your needs. The first session is to see if we might be a good fit for each other, and to make a plan together (there is no obligation to continue if not!).

Every person deserves the best possible care. If a referral falls outside of my skillset, requires intensive support beyond what part-time private practice offers, or presents a conflict of interest, I may not be the right person to help. If that happens, I’ll do my best to connect you with someone who can. As a registered allied health practitioner I’m legally and ethically bound to follow practice guidelines to keep clients safe. Sometimes, I may not be able to share why a referral is declined due to confidentiality.

I see children, teenagers, and adults across a range of areas including mild-to-moderate mental health presentations. I have a particular focus on women’s health and neurodivergent populations. As a solo, part-time practice I am unable to work with clients with high support needs and/or who are at a significant level of risk. You can ask your GP about alternative services if this is the case.

I do not provide family law assessments, couples therapy, or ReturnToWork (WorkCover) claims at this time. Please note that I am unable to support high-risk presentations in a solo part-time private practice capacity; please speak with your GP about appropriate services.

At times I may need to decline a referral for professional, legal, and/or ethical reasons.

It’s important that treatment is tailored to your needs, rather than a one-size-fits all therapy type. I work in a way that is neurodiversity-affirming, culturally safe, and inclusive. I predominantly draw from therapies such as EMDR, DBT, ACT, schema therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.

I understand the importance of accessing a timely psychological service. If I do not have the availability to schedule appointments for a new referral I will recommend exploring alternative options. I do not keep a waitlist for therapy services and consider capacity for new clients on a case-by-case basis. Monitoring this website is the best way to see whether my books are open for new clients.

I hold a Master of Clinical Psychology (post-registration), a Graduate Certificate in Developmental Trauma, a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), and a Certificate III in Disability. I am also a 2019 Churchill Fellow and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi).

I have held registration with the Allied Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) since 2015, and I have been a Psychology-Board Approved Supervisor since 2020.

The fee for therapy is $255 per 50 minute session. You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for part of the cost (see Medicare FAQ). Payment is required on the day via debit/credit card or bank transfer.

Therapeutic assessment sessions are billed at a slightly higher rate ($275 per session) to accommodate the cost of testing materials.

These fees are below the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPi) recommended rate of $315.

Unfortunately I’m unable to offer bulk billing. I would recommend speaking with your GP about alternative services. You can also refer to the support question above for more services.

Yes, both screeners and diagnostic ADHD assessments are available. In addition to clarifying a diagnosis, these evaluations focus on identifying strategies and tools to support areas of challenge.

Please note: Psychologists in Australia are unable to prescribe medication. Medical practitioners have a professional duty to assess symptoms prior to prescribing medication. The extent of this assessment varies, and may include interviews and/or rating scales. If investigating medication options is a priority for you, please speak to your GP about accessing a referral to a psychiatrist instead (or a paediatrician, for children). Please feel welcome to email to request further information about this.
